On The Apparent Emancipatory Power of Antisemitism

Here is a portal into a fascinating interview with Moishe Postone, a Marxist professor of history at the University of Chicago. In it he offers an analysis of the origins and manifestation of Left anti-Zionism. The interview was conducted by Martin Thomas for Worker's Liberty, a socialist organization based in the UK that, extraordinarily, supports a two-state solution and opposes the boycotting of Israeli institutions -- not to say that it isn't very critical of Israeli policies. Postone's scope of knowledge is huge, his responses a little dense, but it is well worth a read.

I'd like to thank both Engage and Greens Engage for providing a forum for discussions on the intersection of anti-Semitism and anti-Zionism within the Left.
